I am surprised that in the first surveys Trump is in front of her. I wouldn't expect this, but it's real and there is the possibility to become even more true in the future.
Here, there are some of the "tips" that David Leonhardt, NYT reporter, listed in his article:
* They (The party and Hillary?) need to make voters more excited about Hillary Clinton as a person and a leader.
* Politics has always involved emotion. (As we can see in Trump's case).
* Voters want to like their president.
* She has been in the national political spotlight for too long, and too many people view her negatively. (What exactly she did? I don't know).
* She has the tricky task of winning a third straight term for his party, like George Bush. (Here, the reporter starts to compare Hillary and Bush campaigns).
* Cast himself as the optimist. (Bush did this).
* More personally, Bush linked his life story to the American story. (Hillary can tell her own history, who by the way is great).
* Their convention will be a success if it appeals to the
heart more than the head.
I don't really know if Hillary would be a great President, but what I know is that Trump would be a disgrace to the humanity. So, I am cheering for her.
See you.
